The Galaxy S25 Ultra has made a strong impression with its exceptionally bright display and highly effective anti-glare surface.

Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, has officially secured the number one spot in DXOMARK’s display rankings, surpassing its predecessors and competitors alike. Scoring an impressive 160 points, the device leads the ultra-premium smartphone category. Following closely behind are the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro with 158 points, while the Honor Magic 6 Pro and Samsung’s own Galaxy S25+ and S25 achieved 157 points. Meanwhile, its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, scored 155 points.

Outstanding Outdoor Visibility

According to DXOMARK’s report, the Galaxy S25 Ultra excels in outdoor visibility thanks to its peak brightness of 2,600 nits and an advanced anti-reflective coating. Real-world testing confirms that the screen remains highly legible even under direct sunlight. However, in low-light conditions, the display might appear slightly brighter than necessary, but this does not significantly impact the overall user experience.
Superior Color Accuracy
Samsung has made significant advancements in color reproduction with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Compared to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the new model offers improved color accuracy and minimizes color shifts when viewed at different angles. Samsung has also optimized blue light control, though the device’s night mode still emits slightly more blue light than the standard threshold, preventing it from obtaining DXOMARK’s Eye Comfort certification.

Enhanced Video Viewing Experience
One of the most notable upgrades in the Galaxy S25 Ultra over its predecessor is its video playback performance, especially in low-light environments. DXOMARK noted that the device achieves an HDR peak brightness of 24 nits in dimly lit settings, enhancing the indoor and nighttime video experience. Local contrast adjustments have been fine-tuned, resulting in clearer and more detailed images. The device also handles frame rates smoothly, with no noticeable stuttering in video playback tests.

Smooth Touch Interaction, But Not Flawless
The Galaxy S25 Ultra offers an overall smooth touch response, particularly when browsing the web and navigating through the photo gallery. However, in certain situations, the display may misinterpret some touch inputs, preventing it from achieving the absolute best-in-class responsiveness compared to some competitors in the ultra-premium segment.
With these groundbreaking display advancements, the Galaxy S25 Ultra not only reinforces Samsung’s dominance in the flagship market but also sets a new benchmark for future screen technologies.
